      Recording A Stream In Wirecast

      How To Setup A Recording

      Introduction

      We highly recommend recording as a backup for slow or unstable internet. In addition, we offer the ability to upload recordings so fans can enjoy them later.       Recording Settings

      The recording settings are found in the Output Settings menu, located in the menu bar.

      The Output Settings menu can be opened using 'Command+Y' on Mac or 'Control+Y' on Windows for quicker access.

      Pictured above is the Output Settings menu. To add a setting to record the stream click the 'Add...' button in the bottom left corner. A dropdown should appear, select
      'Record to Disk - MP4'.

      The 'Encoding' setting should be set to the same preset as the preset in the RTMP Server. After finalizing these settings, click 'OK' and then hit the record button in the top bar of Wirecast.Screen Shot 2022-06-30 at 11.16.17 AM

      You can stream without recording, and you can record without streaming. These are two separate functions.
