Open the box and find all the cables you need

If you purchased your SWIT Curve500 as part of the turn key bundle through strivav.com then you should have everything you need to set up and turn on your SWIT Curve500.

Included in the SWIT Curve500 Turn Key Bundle:

  • 1 Pair of Swit Curve500 Transmitter(Tx) and Receiver(Rx)
  • 1 Sony L Series Battery (2-Pack) and Dual Charger by Wasabi Power
  • 1 Cold Shoe Mount
  • 1 3ft Full-to-Full HDMI Cable
  • 1 HDMI pigtail (Runs from Camera to SWIT Transmitter)

Setting up the camera with the SWIT Transmitter

Once you have everything out of the box, you'll want to find the cold shoe mount so that you can mount your SWIT Tx on top of the camera that you want to be wireless.

Take the cold shoe mount and screw it into the bottom of the SWIT Tx. Then slide the transmitter onto the camera mount. The mount on the camera should be on top and near the front end of the camera body.

Now take the HDMI pigtail cable and place the HDMI Mini side into the camera HDMI port, and then take the Full HDMI end and place in into the 'HDMI In' port on the SWIT Tx.

Setting up your camera switcher with the SWIT Receiver

Now that the SWIT Tx is on the camera and ready to go you'll want to find your SWIT Rx, the power cable provided with it (the receiver can also run on battery though it isn't recommended), and the provided Full-to-Full HDMI Cable.

Find a place with a clear line of sight to the field/court to set your SWIT Rx. Then run the power cable to an outlet or powerstrip, and connect the HDMI cable to the camera switcher using the 'HDMI Out' port on the SWIT Rx and plugging it into whatever camera position you want it in on your camera switcher.

Turning on your SWIT Tx and Rx

For best results when turning on your SWIT pair we recommended you follow this order:

  1. Turn on your camera
  2. Turn on the SWIT Receiver
  3. Turn on the SWIT Transmitter

Troubleshooting

You should have video coming through, if not here are some common troubleshooting steps.

  • Make sure your SWIT Tx has the cable plugged into 'HDMI IN' not 'HDMI Loop'
  • Make sure you are turning on your SWITs in order
  • Sometimes switching 'HDMI Out' ports on the SWIT Rx will make the video come through
