      Adding A Camera To Wirecast

      How To Get Video Into Wirecast

      In Wirecast

      First, ensure your camera is on, plugged into your capture card, the capture card is connected to the laptop with the cable, and there is a light on your capture card. Got it? Let's proceed.

      Open your school's Wirecast template.

      Click the plus button on your Master Layer.

      On the pop-up window, select Video Capture on the left. Then, from the list of options, choose UltraStudio Mini Recorder, and Add in the bottom right.

      Note: If you have a Magewell capture device, it will display as "HDMI Video Capture"

      Next Steps If You Have A Blackmagic Mini Recorder

      Double-check that your Mini Recorder is set for HDMI by opening BlackMagic Desktop Video Utility. If set to HDMI, proceed to open Wirecast.

      If set on SDI, click the circle button under the picture of the Mini Recorder, and select HDMI. Then Save.

      Once set, close the Utility, and open your Wirecast template.

      Camera Picture Quality Issues
